A view “from the other side”: Which priorities are public prosecutors currently setting in enforcement practice—and which risks are often assessed as higher than they prove to be in reality?
Dr. Oliver Sahan, criminal defense lawyer and partner, will provide a practical situation report from current defense work, including concrete examples of how investigative authorities set priorities and which factors tend to be decisive in practice.
Key topics include, among others:
- Export control violations: What is currently being monitored and prosecuted particularly closely?
- Employment of workers (within the company and via business partners): Where are the real risks—and which measures are genuinely effective and proportionate?
The webinar is aimed at in-house counsel as well as non-lawyers (Compliance, HR, Export/Trade, Procurement, Management) who are looking for an up-to-date, pragmatic assessment of enforcement priorities and investigative reality.
The webinar will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and is organized in cooperation with Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Syndikusanwälte (Regionalgruppe Nord, chaired by Tanja Grotowsky and Bettina Joos).
Founded in 1978, the Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Syndikusanwälte (Working Group of In-House Counsel) is part of the German Bar Association (DAV). It represents the professional policy interests of in-house counsel, provides information on developments in lawyers’ professional regulation and commercial law, and promotes professional exchange. Internationally, it is connected, among others, through the European Company Lawyers Association (ECLA) and In-House Counsel Worldwide (ICW).
